How to make tailored offers to roasters?

You can respond to any new Sales Opportunity with a tailored offer. Simply open the Sales Opportunity and click 'Make an offer' to get started. The offer will be visible only to the specific roaster, and includes all costs up and till delivery to the warehouse of choice. This assumes the roaster wants to purchase the coffee FCA/FOT.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Select the coffee lot first. Note that the coffee lot needs to be of the 'current' harvest, and not a 'past' or 'upcoming' harvest. 
  2. Select the quantity (in bags). When the roaster views the offer, they can still choose a higher quantity. They cannot, however, choose a lower quantity.
  3. Select the certification. The roaster will not be able to change the certification from your offer.
  4. Optional: adjust your price for the specific quantity, certification, and roaster. For example, if the roaster is interested in purchasing 100 bags, you might be able to offer a discount on the FOB price. 
  5. Optional: add financing to the offer. When the offer includes financing, it means that the roaster only has to pay after every warehouse release instead of directly when signing the contract. Most roasters choose to add financing when purchasing coffee. Even when no financing is included, the roaster will be able to add this still during their Checkout process.
  6. Review the price of the final offer (FCA) to ensure that this is within range of what the roaster is willing to pay. Most roasters prefer to purchase in their local currency (for example in Euro's, British pounds, or Swiss Francs). For this reason we also show the final price in the roaster's preferred currency.
  7. Click Send offer and include a personalized message to the roaster. While it is optional to include a message, it is highly recommended to introduce the offer to the roaster through this personal note.
  8. Once sent, the roaster directly receives your personalized offer. They can review the offer directly in the Checkout and share any feedback with you through the Chat. Feel free to follow-up with the roaster in case you haven't heard anything back yet.
