The difference between ordering spot and FOB.
The best way to support producers is by ordering early from the origin, in a shared or custom shipment, which gives them security and helps them to forward plan.
However, sometimes roasters need coffee at short notice. That's where spot coffees come in handy! The spot coffees listed on Algrano have (mostly) already landed in Europe and can reach the roastery within days. You can find them by filtering for 'spot' on the page called Coffees.
Some spot coffees may not be available for all countries, especially if they landed in the United Kingdom.
Spot coffees on Algrano are not available for automated purchases. Please e-mail the sales team with your request to receive a quote.
As with all FOB orders, the price for spot coffees is set by the producers themselves.
