What is the cost of carry?

 Carry costs usually encompass warehousing plus financing during storage.

At Algrano, these costs are split into a daily warehousing rent and, where applicable, a financing charge, so you only pay for what you use. 

• Warehousing: You receive 30 days of free storage after your coffee arrives at the warehouse. After this period, a daily warehousing charge applies based on the volume stored and the number of days.
• Financing: Where applicable, financing charges begin 5 days after the coffee is made available. The applicable financing terms and rates are detailed in your contract.
• Invoicing: Warehousing and financing charges are invoiced at each warehouse release.
• Storage period: Up to 12 months of warehousing and stock financing is available beyond the delivery month. Beyond this period, Algrano reserves the right to adjust the terms.

For example: If you’re a new roaster placing your first order and your coffee stays at the warehouse for 60 days:

• The first 30 days are free from warehousing charges.
• Warehousing charges apply for the remaining 30 days.
• If financing applies to your contract, financing charges begin 5 days after the coffee is made available.
