# What is the difference between a shared shipment and a custom shipment?

**Shared shipments**

These are containers shipped with orders from multiple roasters and from one or more producers. The shipments are organised by Algrano's team in partnership with a local exporter and take place **during the specific period indicated on the platform**. This facilitates orders that can't be shipped alone in the container because of volume and it help optimised shipping costs for roasters. 

**To view upcoming shared shipments:**

- Click **Dashboard** in the top-right menu.
- Go to the **Planners** tab.
- Select **Smart planners**.
- Click **All origins planner** to view the **upcoming shared shipments by origin**, along with their planned shipping periods.

 If you want to order in shared shipments, be aware of the timeline so you don't miss it! 

**Custom Shipment **

 If you want to order larger quantities (from a half-full container onwards), you can choose a custom shipment and customise the shipment period (within the harvest and sales season) and the warehouse. This makes it easier for you to get your hands on the coffee faster.

If you'd like to organise a custom shipment for a coffee on the marketplace, you can select '**Custom Shipment' **on the check-out cart.
