Why is there a minimum order quantity for coffees?

Sellers independently set minimum order quantities (MOQs) based on the work and costs involved to prepare an order.

The shipping setup for each lot also affects the MOQ:

  • Consolidated/Shared Shipments organized by Algrano: Producers set smaller MOQs, typically 5 to 10 bags, to cover basic labor and local handling costs.
  • Dedicated Shipments: If an offer is not part of a planned Algrano consolidated container, orders must meet a full container volume (1 container or approximately 100 bags) for a dedicated shipment.
